I have multiple grinders — what do I do?
That’s exactly what SkopeX was designed for. Buy one Motor Unit and one adapter pack per grinder. Swapping between grinders takes seconds with our quick swap drivers. Why have multiple electric grinders when you can swap between hand grinders in seconds?
Example: C40 for filter + ZP6 for light espresso + J-Max for heavy espresso = Motor Unit ($329) + C40 Adapter ($49) + ZP6 Pack ($79) + J-Max Collar ($50) = $507 AUD total for three motorized grinders.
What’s included in the Motor Unit ($329)
- SkopeX motor body
- Power supply (upgraded — supports big burr grinders like C60 and J-Max)
- Integrated knocker
- Re-oriented funnel for easier workflow
- All hardware and assembly
Not included: Grinder-specific adapter (required, listed above). Speed Module and Slow Feeder are optional upgrades.

Common questions
Q: Do I really need to order the adapter separately?
A: Yes. The Motor Unit ($329) is the base — it doesn’t include a grinder-specific adapter. Add both the Motor Unit and your adapter to cart. The table above shows exactly which adapter matches your grinder.
Q: Are prices in Australian Dollars?
A: Yes, all prices are AUD. A complete C40 bundle ($378 AUD) is approx. USD $195–$215 at current rates. Your bank or PayPal converts automatically at checkout.
Q: Can one motor really run multiple grinders?
A: Yes — this is SkopeX’s defining feature. Each grinder gets its own adapter. Swapping takes seconds. No other motorizer on the market offers this with the ease that SkopeX does.
Q: Do I need the Speed Module?
A: Not to start. Most customers begin with the base bundle and add the Speed Module later if they want finer RPM control for espresso.
Q: Do I need the Slow Feeder?
A: Optional but highly recommended for espresso on light roasts. It feeds beans one at a time into the burrs, improving particle size distribution. You can add it any time — it’s not required for the motor to work.
Q: My grinder isn’t listed — can you help?
A: Possibly. The DIY Lock Adapter ($16) covers some Kinu, 1Zpresso and Kinggrinder models. Contact us before ordering and we’ll advise.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: SkopeX ships from Australia. Domestic: 3–7 business days. International (USA, Europe, Asia): 10–21 business days. Contact us for a country-specific estimate.
Q: Is this hard to assemble?
A: No — assembly is straightforward and instructions are included. Most customers are up and running within minutes of receiving their order.

Very well made and powerful motor. Works great with my c40 and kinu.

_Super_ happy with my SkopeX. I tried a few different grinders and burrs including a VS3 + Hypernova, but still enjoyed the profile from my Comandante more. I was hoping to just keep it with the SkopeX.
But actually, the SkopeX improved my grind! I found the output from the Comandante improved significantly when motorised this way. Maybe the grind speed is more optimal for me, or grind speed consistency is more important than I realised.
Anyway, fluffy delicious coffee, I get to keep the grinder I like, and there’s some satisfaction from having a somewhat unusual solution that way outperforms for the price.

Its absolutely great. I love that I have been able to gradually upgrade my grinder to make life easier, rather than having to compromise on quality as I have built my espresso setup. The motorizer works great and looks very nice. My only complaint is that the knock doesn’t work too well and I have to give the grinder a little shake to make sure every bean has gone through.

The people behind this are super helpful and have really kept at this …. This is a great product…. Reminds me of my days in hardware development ….it’s so much fun and lots of challenges this team have overcome here to provide a truly excellent product….
Dimitris –
Very robust and well made. Feels solid and the motor is powerful. Nice packaging too! Now I use my c40 daily. The only downside is a bit quirky feeder that sometimes pops out of its place, but nothing to worry about.

I’m really happy with my SkopeX! It’s a fantastic upgrade to an already excellent Comandante grinder. Since it simply adds a motor to an already well-designed and sharp grinder, the precision and consistency of the grind have been outstanding. It’s also quieter than many other grinders on the market, which is a nice bonus. Plus, the creator has been very open to feedback and constructive criticism, showing their commitment to making the best product possible.

Very happy with the product. The quality of build is quite good and putting it together was easy. I’ve been using it for several months and it’s sped up my coffee preparation immensely. The parts feel solid, well made. The design is smart. It looks good. It sounds good. I find the little spill saucer a bit dinky but that’s me being at my absolute most critical. I would absolutely buy this product again, and I would recommend it to a friend.

A fantastic addition to my C40. The SkopeX gives me that hand grind feel but with the convenience of motorized grinding. It has a smooth operation, is aesthetic with my setup and works like a charm. Great build quality and easy to attach—highly recommended for anyone who’s invested in a quality hand grinder.

My SkopeX has kicked up my coffee office game to the next level. I picked up the machine to motorize my older Helor 101 hand grinder. A short back and forth with the creator, Shavik, and we had a model for a lock color for this grinder.
Off to the 3D printer the model went and few revisions later my Helor 101 was cutting beans and grinding like a work horse for all my office needs. Espresso? Done! Filter? Done! My arms? Free to check my emails and not fret hand grinding those finer espresso doses.
The SkopeX looks good, works like a charm, and has a designer behind willing to work with their customers. I look forward to keeping my SkopeX around and motorizing any other hand grinders I get in the future.

It’s very good , much easier to use the comadante. It’s very convenient to adjust grind size and coffee bean compartment. The motor is quiet and the speed is very suitable and it’s very handsome.

Very happy with my Slope X. You can really see that a lot of effort went into this project. The design is neat and sturdy, and the motor is powerful and has never stalled. Not even with light roasts. Detaching and cleaning the grinder is very easy because you can leave the adapter on the grinder. Complements to the team and thank you for making my workflow a lot faster so I can enjoy my espresso more.
Peter –
Adding adjustable rpm and real slowfeeding to the 1zpresso zp6 and Comandante c40, elevates both grinders above what i thought were possible.
Also it’s nice to let the motor handle my espressogrinding with the j-max.
This mashine feels endgame to me!
A dream for single dosing, easyest maintenance, makes swapping between burrs super easy, zp6 for lightroasted washed coffee, c40/k-max for medium or prossesed coffee, j-max for espresso.

I am very happy with the SkopeX motorizer. I use it with my Kinu grinder, works great. I have it for 6 months now. It’s silent, easy to install, I recommend it to anyone that is looking to transform the manual grinder into an electric one

As someone who was waiting for the original Skope Motorizer to come back in stock (March 2023), I was very excited with the news of the new SkopeX. I signed up to be notified and then I immediately pre-ordered when the project went live back in Sept 2023. Fast forward through a lot of hand grinding, I received by SkopeX on Dec 16, 2024. The SkopeX has breathe new life into my 2019 Commandate c40.
The fit and finish on the SkopeX was better than my expectations. The machined parts are very nice. It was easy to install and get working right away. I also added the additional variable speed controller. Making espresso has been a joy the last few months using the SkopeX. The SkopeX has made my workflow a lot smoother and faster. Love using it daily. Would highly recommend this for your high end hand grinder.
Also, Shauvik has been great with communication. Any time I needed an update or had questions, he’s been quick and helpful ever since my first email when I was interested in the original Skope. Congrats on the success of SkopeX!

Am so happy until since I got there Skopex Motorizer. It made the difference and it’s much cheaper than the real thing along with the commandante it makes a difference. It’s worth having it with the choice of grinder you pick. This recommended to all of beginners and experienced.
Am using it in my office with daily use.

The SkopeX motorizer is an extremely well-conceived, beautifully designed and well-made piece of kit that has enabled me to take my manual lever espresso-making up a level. It’s a cliché to say, but it’s been a game-changer. Really, it has.
Using a hand grinder (1Zpresso J-Ultra) is a less expensive way to reach a grinding quality associated with much more pricey powered grinders, but it lacks consistency shot to shot. I first began thinking about motorising my manual grinder when I started slow-feeding beans to the burrs by holding it close to horizontal when grinding. My grind time, for light roast beans, jumped from 30-40 seconds up to 3-4 minutes! Thank you Lance Hedrick for the workout – although my arms don’t appear to have bulked up like yours have.
I signed up for a Batch 2 SkopeX last year and have been enjoying my espresso even more thanks to the fluffy shot-to-shot consistency it brings. I am slow-feeding one bean at a time into the feeder and am eeking out every last iota of flavour on my Flair Pro 2. Slow-feeding like this is taking 3-4 minutes for 18g of light roast, so Shauvik, I can’t wait until your motorised slow-feeder you’ve ingeniously designed that latches onto the SkopeX motor becomes available.
My only criticism, and it’s minor, is that it sometimes takes a few attempts to remount my grinder onto the SkopeX – especially in low light. Conveniently, I can clean my J-Ultra without removing the SkopeX collar – even when I dismantle the grinder and remove the burrs for a thorough clean. For anyone looking to make a game-changing gain in one of the multiple variables of espresso or pour-over, I wholeheartedly recommend this.
